Works and lives in Rio de Janeiro.

Rafael became known by painting on canvas with rounded edges made of duct tape used by street vendors for their cooling boxes.
His latest works are „an attempt to create an artistic reference toward the design objects which surround us, especially computers,
TV screens and tablets. Objects which are, more than ever, an intermediary of images and which establishes
contact between ourselves and the world.
